I joined The Pace Press Spring semester of my Sophomore year as a Staff Writer in February 2021. Two months after, I was promoted to News Editor. I later ran for Secretary, Events, and Social Media Manager and was elected into the position for the 2021-2022 academic year. Now in my Senior year, I have been elected to President, Editor-in-Chief.

1 of 4 students selected out of 30 for publication during my participation in POL297L Global Politics of Disarmament and Arms Control course in Fall 2021. Students were given service-learning assignments with disarmament advocacy organizations working in and around the United Nations. I worked on the Reaching Critical Will disarmament program of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), the oldest women’s peace organization in the world.

As part of my service-learning community with the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, their Reaching Critical Will Project brought me the unique opportunity to co-write articles in their newsletter, “First Committee Monitor.” I summarized the weekly UN General Assembly First Committee (Disarmament and International Security) meeting and monitored discussions on youth and disarmament education.
